André is a passionate cyclist with over 20 years of experience. He turned his hobby into his profession and knows not only the technology but above all the needs of the people who get on a bike. At RAD ELSTER he's at your side with know-how, sensitivity and an honest opinion – from the first conversation to the final fine-tuning.
Katrin is also an enthusiastic cyclist and keeps the entire back office running. She makes sure things run smoothly and that you feel well taken care of with us. Katrin and André are partners and run RAD ELSTER together.
Mario takes care of our service station. He sets up the bikes so everything runs smoothly. For technical questions he's your first point of contact.

Rent a bike
At our bike rental in Bad Elster you get modern e-bikes from our current range. You ride strong brands, no no-name models. The bikes are technically up-to-date and feel like new. Often they actually are. You'll find e-mountain bikes, e-trekking and e-city bikes with us.
There are no starting-from prices with us. You pay a clear total price without extra costs. Insurance, helmet and lock are always included. You pick up your e-bike and can ride off directly. On request we also offer bike carriers for the car, child seats or a bike trailer.
Tell us how you want to ride. We'll give you an e-bike that fits your style. You'll also get concrete tour tips around Bad Elster. Whether a short loop, a longer route or a route with elevation. We show you paths that are good to ride and fun.
So you start with a fitting e-bike and a clear price without surprises.
If you like the bike so much after your tour that you want to keep it, we credit the rental costs. You pay the purchase price minus the rental.

Where do I find RAD ELSTER in Bad Elster?
RAD ELSTER has two locations in Bad Elster: the main store at Hagerstraße 2 (sales, bike fitting, workshop) and the bike rental station at Badstraße 1. Both are in 08645 Bad Elster in the Saxon Vogtland.
What does renting a bike at RAD ELSTER cost?
The daily rate for an e-bike touring bike is 35 €, the weekend rate (Friday 4 p.m. to Sunday 5 p.m.) is 69 €. A week costs 199 €. The Full Power e-MTB is 89 € per day, 219 € per weekend and 299 € per week. Helmet, lock and international insurance are included in every rate.
Which bikes can I rent?
We rent two categories: e-bike touring bikes (Centurion E-Fire City R650i and Orbea Kemen, sizes XS to L) for relaxed rides through the Vogtland and the Full Power e-MTB Yeti LTe C2 for demanding trails. Road bikes and long-term rental are available on request.
How do I book a rental bike?
Online through the booking form at radelster.de/fahrradverleih. After your request is confirmed you receive a rental contract as a PDF including a SEPA QR code by e-mail — completely contactless.
What are the opening hours?
Main store (Hagerstraße 2): Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 18:00, closed on Mondays, and by appointment. Rental station (Badstraße 1): Thursday and Friday 10:00 to 16:00, Saturday to Monday 10:00 to 18:00, open on public holidays. Pick-up and return outside rental hours can be arranged flexibly through the main store.

Yes. RAD ELSTER is a leasing partner for JobRad, BusinessBike and Bikeleasing. We advise you personally on the right model and handle the entire process.
Does RAD ELSTER do bike fitting?
Yes, individual bike fitting is one of our core services. We adjust ergonomics, saddle height, handlebars, saddle and pedals exactly to the rider — at the main store at Hagerstraße 2.
